Svetlana

Soon after our fellow missionary Colleen Decker first came to Oryol last spring, she went to the grocery store next to her home. She invited Svetlana, the lady who sells magazines and newspapers, to visit our services. Svetlana came to our Bible studies regularly for over six months. Then she understood her need of Salvation and trusted Jesus Christ to save her. Praise the Lord for this great blessing!

Our Bible study group has been growing, and we have more people coming regularly. It is great to see them grow spiritually. We had 16 Russians on a recent Sunday!

We have paid $25,750 for our church building, which is about 50% of the loan amount. You may want to help by sending a gift to: BIMI, P.O. Box 9215, Chattanooga, TN 37412. Designate it for “Ossewaarde - Project Russian Church Building”.

We are making definite plans for a furlough this summer. If you would like me to visit your church and give a report, please contact me. I have available dates from the middle of June 2008 to the end of September 2008.
