End of Second Term
A few weeks before we left for our furlough, we announced a baptism service.
Svetlana had been saved for a few months, and she decided to be baptized. Vlad
was saved a few years ago, but he had been putting off baptism. He decided to
follow Christ in baptism. Natasha told me she would like to get baptized, but
she did not have a clear testimony of Salvation. We reviewed the plan of
Salvation with her, and she sweetly trusted Christ! What a blessing to see these
three Russians baptised! 22 Russians and 9 Americans attended our last service and picnic before our
furlough. It was an emotional time of saying goodbye. The Travis Decker family
will be continuing the work while we are in the USA. We were blessed to have a good visit from our BIMI field director, Brant Holladay. He and his group spent a weekend with us, and they also visited some BIMI missionaries in Siberia. We have paid $27,550 for our church building, which is about 53% of the loan amount. You may want to help by sending a gift to: BIMI, P.O. Box 9215, Chattanooga, TN 37412. Designate it for “Ossewaarde - Project Russian Church Building”. We are on furlough this summer. If you would like me to visit your church and give a report, please contact me. I have available dates from the middle of June 2008 to the end of September 2008. In the service of the King, |
