Christmas and a New Year

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s party at our apartment! Seventeen of the church people came over after the morning service. We read the Christmas story from Luke chapter two, had delicious homemade chili, played games, and had desserts. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas, too, and we pray that 2011 will be a great year for you.

We have two new visitors, Katya and Sveta, coming regularly to our Thursday English Bible study.

I was blessed to be able to attend and preach at a Bible conference in Ukraine. I saw many missionary friends that I haven’t seen for a while.

Ruth and I were invited to meet with high school students at a private English school. We helped prepare them for exams by having “conversation practice”. We gave them New Testaments and Gospel tracts.

Here are two prayer requests from our people: Luba’s 85-year-old father is in the hospital with heart trouble. Pollina’s daughter is away from God and in the hospital with pneumonia.

We have paid $51,302 for our church building, which is about 99% of the loan amount. You may want to help by sending a gift to: BIMI, P.O. Box 9215, Chattanooga, TN 37412. Designate it for “Ossewaarde - Project Russian Church Building”.

In the service of the King,
Don Ossewaarde
