The following are statements of my position on several doctrinal issues:
There is One eternal Triune God, who exists as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created the heavens and the Earth. He is all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere present.
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, and He died on the cross to pay for the sins of all the world. He rose from the dead on the third day, He ascended to Heaven, and will return to Earth again. He is God, the Creator of the heavens and the Earth.
The Blood of Christ is precious and incorruptible, It was shed for sinners, and It has power to save souls and wash away sin.
The Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God. It is complete and without error. God has preserved every Word of the Bible. In the English language, the King James Bible is God's preserved Holy Word.
The Bible is our sole authority for all matters of faith and practice.
All people are sinners both by nature and by choice. All deserve to go to Hell. The only way of salvation from sin is through the blood of Christ. This salvation is a free gift of grace that is received by faith. Those who are saved can never lose their salvation.
There is a literal Heaven of eternal blessing for the saved, and a literal Hell of fiery eternal torment for the lost.
I am a fundamental independent Baptist. I'm not interested in "building bridges" to compromising denominations. I am non-charismatic and non-ecumenical.
I am not a Calvinist, nor an Arminian. I hold to the scriptural teaching that our sovereign God has provided salvation as a gift to be accepted by people with a free will. Those who choose salvation are eternally secure.
The Church is a local congregation of baptized believers. It is not invisible.
Every believer is commanded to present the Gospel to lost people - to be a soulwinner.
Christians ought to separate themselves from sinful habits, immodest dress, and worldly amusements.
God's plan for the family puts Christ at the center, Dad as the head, Mom in submission, children obedient, trained, and disciplined.
The Bible plan for Missions is based in local churches, reaching all nations with the Gospel.
If I were to change my position doctrinally, I would consider it my obligation to notify my supporting churches.
